I love purely baby focused sessions. I am dedicated to helping parents achieve their vision of what they want their newborn session to be. I know that many get inspiration from what they have seen from friends or pintrest or want to incorporate sentimental items! I am open to all of that because it is for your memories. When Ms. Stella's mom said she wanted clean, white, simple images I was super excited too. We could focus on baby's tiny features and her newness.
Do I really need professional head shots?
The short answer is YES! And here are some reasons why.
Many professionals these days can benefit from having a good quality headshot. You should be aiming to project a level of professionalism a step above a cropped family photo from last years family reunion. Whether you are a doctor, lawyer, real estate agent, home based or small business a professional headshot will help you to stand out.
Looking for a job? An important part of marketing yourself is being able present yourself professionally in the modern competitive job market. Just as you wouldn’t show up to an important job interview in ripped jeans and with dirt all over your face, why would you show potential employers a photo of you at anything less than your best? A professional headshot does not guarantee you a job but it can help employers want to meet you and help you to get a foot in the door.
Hey there’s nothing wrong with that. Being single can be fun. But if you’re single and you don’t want to be, your online dating profile is your gateway to the dating world. A professional profile photo can round out your gallery of more casual photos by adding an element of contrast and quality. A great-looking profile photo lures the viewer in for a closer look.
Do you want to elevate your social media presence? A professional portrait or headshot can really have that effect. No matter what network you’re on, you can tailor your profile picture to really show what you’re all about. Your profile pictures for various social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter might have different goals and purposes. Do you want to highlight your professional side? Your fun-loving side? Your goofy side? Your all-encompassing sexiness? A good professional photographer can help you share your best traits on social media.
5. You are getting older
Let’s face it, we’re all getting older. That’s not necessarily bad, it’s just the truth. Your head shots need to reflect this. There isn’t anything sadder than seeing someone clinging desperately to a photo that was obviously taken in 2002 and pretending that’s what they look like now. A great way to respect your age and the wisdom that comes with it is to get a spanking-new headshot that beautifully captures your increasingly mature and elegant look!
If none of the above apply to you, then congratulations. You belong to an extraordinarily tiny minority of people. However, you’re not out of the woods yet, because you probably have a face. And belonging to such a select group while still owning a face is really a major accomplishment. You should celebrate by getting your headshots done!
8 days new! Look how much he has already changed in the past week. I love getting to capture these babies when they are fresh and new and then creating custom portraits to keep forever. Sometimes I think that I give mom and dad too many options and they will have no room to put all these images up on their walls. But then again, there can never be too many photos of your little ones. From a big yawn to 10 sweet little toes, they will never be at this stage again. We can't stop time but we can freeze it for a moment. Mr. Graham loved being snuggled and was able to get through the most adorable sibling photos with his big sister Amelia! At 22 months it is always hard to get a great shot but she was just perfect! I love working in a military community and being able to incorporate Dad's pilot helmet and cover in these images.
A new sweet babe at not even 24 hours old. You cannot deny the emotion of the first few days. This little man decided to make a slightly late arrival just 2 days after his due date. Mom and Dad were anxiously awaiting this little one. They chose not to find out the gender before and Dad really wanted to be the one to announce it. He said in the moment, when he realized it was a boy, he just froze! He was sure it would be a girl like big sister Amelia! They were so happy to welcome Graham, an 8lb 3oz, healthy, baby boy on February 24th. He will celebrate his birthday just one day before Dad! Amelia is still not quite sure what she thinks of this new little human but after a few minutes she warmed up to him. Congratulations Ross Family! <3
